The Related Contributions track invites authors of papers recently published in high-impact venues across HCI (e.g., ACM CHI, CSCW, UbiComp-IMWUT, DIS), health informatics (e.g., HISA, AMIA, HCIS, JAMIA, JMIR, JTAMI), and clinical medicine (including general journals like NEJM, The Lancet, LanSEA, JAMA, their sub-series, and top specialty venues) to present their work to the Interactive Health (IH) community. Non-English publications are also welcomed (an English-version of the title and abstract is required for submission).
This track is designed to break down disciplinary silos. We recognize that high-quality HCI+Health research is often scattered across various clinical, informatics, and computer science venues. The Related Contributions track provides a platform to consolidate this knowledge, fostering multidisciplinary discussion and offering authors a dedicated audience of peers, clinicians, and technical experts.
Note: Accepted submissions in this track are for presentation only. As these works are already published, they will not be archived in the ACM Digital Library or the conference proceedings.
All times are in Anywhere on Earth (AoE) time zone.
Online submission: A Related Contribution must be submitted via the PCS Submission System. To create a submission, go to the Submission tab, select SIGCHI -> Interactive Health 2026 -> Interactive Health 2026 Related Contributions.
IMPORTANT: if you’ve been accepted to the recent ACM HEALTH special issue, you need to select a different track, named: Interactive Health 2026 Invitation-Only: ACM HEALTH journal papers.
When submitting your contribution for consideration, we do not require that you enter the full list of authors, as this information is available to the chairs in your PDF. If your work is accepted, you must complete all of the author metadata in the final submission form. This requires that each author create an account in PCS.
Unlike other tracks, submissions are NOT anonymous. Reviewers will see the names of the authors and the original publication venue.
Since the work is already published, we do not require a specific template. Authors must submit two components:
> Why this work is relevant to the Interactive Health community.
> The original venue and date of publication.
> How presenting this work at IH 2026 will foster new connections or discussions.
Related Contribution submissions are reviewed through a Curated/Juried process. They will not undergo a full peer review regarding technical merit (as the work is already peer-reviewed and published). Instead, the committee will select papers based on their potential to spark conversation and their relevance to the conference theme.
The criteria for evaluation are as follows:
Rejection criteria:
Posters will be the default mode of presentation for Related Contributions. This format facilitates direct engagement and in-depth discussion with attendees. There will also be a limited number of presentation slots for high-quality and topically related publications that will be invited to give a presentation instead of presenting a poster.
Poster: Authors will be assigned a time and location to present their poster. The poster will include:
Presentation: A limited number of submissions deemed highly impactful or topically related to other presentations may be selected for an oral presentation. This format is by invitation only.
At least one author must be in attendance to present the poster or give the talk.
